Hey guys,

I am not able to travel two of my favorite countries this summer, so can some of you recommend some good books set in Laos or Thailand?

I've read Prayer Before Dawn and Private Dancer. I enjoyed them both.

The Last Executioner, set in Thailand.

Read The Last Executioner, and I also enjoyed A Secret History of the Bangkok Hilton by the same writer. 

Lost in Yaba looks very good. 

Not sure about Siri Paiboon series. I prefer non-fiction.

Best book Thailand: Welcome to Hell by Colin Martin

Just google books on Thailand and you will find many.

Bangkok Found, by Alex Kerr, if you can get hold of a copy. Written around 2010, but still relevant today. 

The Ravens, Christopher Robbins

Another Quiet American - Chronicles the story of a Yank who spent some time living in Vientiane and fell in love with the country.

 i read 'Lost in Yaba' by Walt Gleeson and i loved it.
