Popular Post webfact
Netizens applaud Tesco delivery staff for cleaning bedridden customer’s home, giving her money By THE NATION Tesco Lotus posted on its Facebook page last week pictures of its delivery staff in Bangkok’s Bang Kapi district cleaning the home and garden of a bedridden customer and even giving her money after making a delivery to her house. “After the group learned that the woman could not walk or do any chores, they offered to clean her house as well as the perimeter area,” the post said. “They also donated money to buy food and other necessary items for the woman.” The post went viral, garnering more than 20,000 likes and 1,000 shares so far, with some of the commentators saying the staff have the “ultimate service minds” and are an example of how Thai people are helping each other during this Covid-19 crisis. Others commented that the new normal of home shopping and delivery not only come with convenience but also reveal the goodness in people’s hearts. Due to the government’s lockdown during the Covid-19 outbreak and social distancing practices to curb the spread of the virus, many retailers have been providing home delivery services via online and mobile shopping. The trend has become increasingly popular and could continue even after the pandemic ends. No, Tesco Lotus is a Thai company, Ek-Chai Distribution System Co and no Britons were involved in this charitable effort, just Thais.
