Which Thai Bank allows Family Account?

Featured Replies

Hello Community

which Thai Bank allows a Family Account, where a Foreigner can be included?

Can we include out 7 Year old Daughter into this Account?

We tried to do it with Kasikorn Bank, in the End, we were not able to open a Family Account

Maybe somebody has made other Experiences - so please share

My wife and I had a joint savings account back in the early 2000's (like 2001 or 2003). It was either with Kasikorn or SCB (I was working here so no problem). We found that it didn't work well because neither of us were good about accounting and writing down withdrawals and purchases. That's one of the BIG things I miss about a checking account back home. (It's so much harder to manage a budget here.)

I am 99% sure that adding the daughter will not be possible.

Try UOB. Not sure if a child can be included though.

Normally,15 years of age is the lowest age for a Thai national to be able to open a savings account. Why would you include a 7 year old? Give her a weekly/monthly allowance instead.

My wife and I have a joint account with Kasikorn and opened it with no problems.

Daughter was too young to be on it, but she has a joint account with my wife but only my wife is allowed to draw out money from it.
