BANGKOK (Reuters) - A single mother in Thailand is doing brisk business out of face shields with characters from cartoons, games and sci-fi movies, hoping to cash in and promote safety for children as her country emerges from the coronavirus pandemic.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand will lift a nationwide curfew and ease more restrictions next week, a spokesman for its coronavirus task force said on Friday, after the country has reported no local transmissions of the virus for 18 days.

(Reuters) - Five years ago, in an office complex with a giant sculpture of a mosquito just northwest of Phnom Penh, Jessica Manning struck on a novel idea. Rather than spend more years in what felt like a futile search for a malaria vaccine, she would take on all mosquito-borne pathogens at once.

LONDON (Reuters) - The risk of a second wave of COVID-19 infections big enough to require European lockdowns to be reimposed is moderate to high, EU health experts said on Friday, and depends on the gradual easing of restrictions and how people stick to them.

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australia has eliminated the novel coronavirus in many parts of the country, its chief medical officer said on Friday, clearing the way for sports fans to soon return to stadiums and for foreign students to prepare to fly back to classes.

BMA transplants greenery onto Chao Phraya Sky Park

BANGKOK(NNT) - The Chao Phraya Sky Park will soon become a new landmark of Bangkok, serving as a new observation point connecting the historic areas of Phra Nakhon and the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River. Set to open later this month, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has started placing plants and trees on the elevated park to improve the landscape and increase the city’s green spaces.

Bus passengers can use e-tickets to check-in with Thai Chana

BANGKOK(NNT) - Travelers using Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) buses can now check in and out with the Thai Chana online platform before and after boarding, simply by having electronic data capturing (EDC) devices scan their e-tickets. They no longer have to take out their mobile phones to scan the quick response (QR) codes.

Visitors to six zoos can marvel at animals for free until end June
