BANGKOK (NNT) - The Office of the Prime Minister and the Public Relations Department of Thailand (PRD) jointly followed up the progress of the 2020 public relations projects to raise public awareness and understanding of the government’s policies.

The Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office, Teerapat Prayoonsit, delivered a speech at a PRD headquarter building, encouraging PRD staff to use information as a powerful tool to help people. PRD Secretary General Lt. Gen. Sansern Kaewkumnerd led PRD officials in Bangkok to attend the conference which was broadcast live to all PRD branches around the country.

The conference was organized under the slogan "Weaving the Dreams Together, Headed for Sustainability." The goal is about designing effective methods to give people the knowledge about government spending transparency and budget distribution between the central government and local administrations nationwide.

Teerapat also led a meeting with PRD executives. He placed great importance on facilitating public access to government-held information which will allow the people to better understand the role of Thai government and the decisions being made for their benefits.
