Hello everybody,

I have come to thailand 5 months ago with a 6 months return ticket, and due to travelling to the nearby countries I used my 3 free transit visas before the first 3 months from the date of my arrival. After that I made a tourist visa (2+1 months) in Vientiane, Laos, and it's expiring in about 2 weeks. But my return flight is in 1 month.

So, I cannot make another free transit visa because the 6 months from my first entry into the country haven't passed yet, and my only chioces are either to stay out of the country until my departure flight, or I would like to know what chances I have that in Vientiane or Kuala Lumpur they will grant me another tourist visa (2+1 months). Has anybody ever done that before? 2 consecutive tourist visas?

Thanks for any information

People are not reporting having a problem obtaining consecutive tourist visas from Laos or Malaysia.

Thank you very much lopburi3. Only one last question. Last time I made the tourist visa they didn't ask me anything like departure ticket, bank account statement, etc. Do you think I should go to the embassy with that documentation also, since it's officially required in the visa rules?

The requirement is what the Consulate says. I have not seen reports of Laos or Malaysia or Singapore asking for anything other than photo/application and payment (and perhaps copy of passport info page).

2nd Tourist Visa shouldn't be a problem in Vientiane. I have a Bvisa now, but sometimes go with a friend when he does his T visa re-ups since I have to leave every three months too, and I like Vientiane. Bank info should be irrelevant, but I don't think it's a bad idea to have your airline info handy, doubt you need it though.

thank you calibanjr and lopburi3 for the answers. I was actually now considering to go to Penang, since it's much closer to me. Only thing, I heard rumours that in Penang the thai embassy stopped releasing certain kind of visas. I don' know if the tourist visa is among those. Any information about that? Thanks for any info

Penang is fine for single entry visas. But they do not issue multi entry types anymore.

so, it should be ok, rite? the 2+1 months tourist visa is a single entry visa, as far as I know, rite?
