Musicians have submitted a letter to the prime minister, pleading for debt relief and permission to return to work within seven days.

Pornphan Petrarat, a representative of the freelance singers and musicians, said on Thursday (June 18) that the government has lifted restrictions on various activities, but the ban on musical performance remained in place.

"We want the government to allow singers and musicians to work, so we can generate income to take care of our families," she said. "We have been unable to make money for four months, and our debts are mounting."

She asked the prime minister to respond to the plea withing seven days, adding that over 100,000 families were dependent on income from singers and musicians.

"If the government allows us to work, we will abide by Public Health Ministry rules, such as wearing face masks, maintaining social distance, and measuring body temperature," she added.

The musicians also asked banks and other financial institutions to postpone debt repayments for those who have not received government cash handouts.

Strange.
Churches are re-opening with live music and singers, as well as congregations.....

No explanation in that report of the lead photograph. Who are they and who or what is the figure second from the right?
