True or not the concept of a  diverse spread of  US American youth being said to be responsible in sabotaging the  reservation numbers and resulting  hype for attendance  at Trump' lacklustre rally should  be a wakeup  all.

Even as a concept that would be difficult  to deny was  valid as a form of opposition it reveals the  weakness of any argument about perceptions  of future outcome.

The pandemic event has interrupted  the processes of  "educational' indoctrination in many areas which has allowed  some greater potential  for personal interpretations of events.

At the point of enthusiastic attempts  to resume "normality"  a polarizing event has triggered a rejection of significant aspects  of that  "normalcy".

The  " Floyd " reference is quickly  being absorbed into a seething  cauldron of social justice anomalies  that previously had been buried  in the processes of enforced " Accepted System" on a global scale.

If there are any  really astute political figures who  can harness the expectations of what  comes out of this I doubt they will be the ones assumed currently to .

There is a new documentary about one of his mentors, Roy Cohn, it's title is "Bully, Coward, Victim."  Says it all.

How can anyone see him as strong when he is constantly whining and complaining.  What happened to "big boys don't cry"?

 

Nothing original here: with the ex-wife if something went over well it was due to her brilliance, hard work, etc.  When something failed it was someone else's fault.  Sound familiar?  I guess it's something they teach them in business school.

Meaningless? Really? In aggregate, they were off on the popular vote by 1%. So nationally they were damned good. It's just that because of the peculiarity of the electoral college, they were off on electoral votes. But they very closely mirrored the opinion of Americans about who they wanted for President. So when national polls are conducted and overwhelmingly show the majority of Americans disagree with Trump on a majority of issues, then it's overwhelmingly likely to be true. There's a mathematician named John Allen Paulos who coined the word innumeracy as a counterpart to illiteracy. You might want to look that up.

On the run up to the 2016 election, I am hard pressed to recall any poll that ever put Trump ahead of Clinton. In the final days, so-called news sites were predicting absurd figures like Clinton winning with 99% surety. Perhaps you should explain the concept of innumeracy to them? Here is the point that you're not getting. Whilst the people they polled showed "who they wanted for President", they time and time again polled samples of people who were over represented in the Democrat pool, people who had voted before, etc. So the numbers were deliberately skewed in order to discourage people from voting Trump. It was part of their agenda. It is also why they refused to show the crowd sizes at rallies etc. And despite the left droning on and on about it at every opportunity, there is no such thing as "the popular vote" in US Presidential elections. You're missing the point. In aggregate the polls were very close in predicting the popular vote. The issue of the electoral college is entirely irrelevant to where Americans stand on different issues. It's a national question not one for the states.

Sorry but you are incorrect. The point was made about polls and here you are bringing them up again. You also brought up the electoral college to which I responded. The electoral college is not irrelevant to where Americans stand on different issues. America is not a democracy, it is a constitutional republic. The states are run by elected local governments, not the president. There are "issues" that may affect one state more than another (ie illegal immigration). You seem to be implying that someone in a border state being over run with illegals (Texas for example) should have the same say as someone in Vermont (for example) on that topic. What people want in California should not overpower the "national question" because there happen to be in greater numbers. That is what you appear to be advocating here.

You claimed the polls were inaccurate. I pointed out that with regard to the electoral college, yes, but in regard to the national vote, no, The topic of this thread is about Trump finding himself at odds with most American views. It has nothing to do with the electoral college or how each individual state voted. It's about Americans' views. So a national sample is what's relevant not a state by state breakdown.

What are you blabbering on about ?? It is very telling that people who are anti Trump are completely obsessed with Fox News. Why is that ?? Because they don't tow the line blindly repeating Democrat talking points and are not staffed by "anchors" and "journalists" that are tied in some cases directly to the Democrat party ? Here is the flaw in your logic. The wonderful journalists you refer to above host shows that are classified as opinion shows. There are other shows on Fox News that are news shows, reporting straight up facts, journalism etc. There is a big difference between the two and it is obvious to anyone who watches the channel. With channels like CNN, MSNBC etc, there is no distinction between the two. Or perhaps you think people like Don Lemon, Cuomo, Scarborough, Stephanopoulos, Reid, etc are fine upstanding unbiased journalists reporting real news? Yes of course you do. ????
