mackemray
My Extension of Stay expires on 19 July. I have kept 400,000 baht in Fixed Term A/c since last renewal and opened a new 6 month Fixed Term A/c with 400,000 baht on 27 April (2 months and 3 weeks before expiry date). I went to Jomtien Immigration today (23 June) to renew (3 weeks and a few days early) and my application was rejected. Immigration officers insist that my second 400,000 has to be in the bank account 2 months before the application date, not the expiry date. I didn't know that! They told me to go back on 27 June. Just so you know ????
ubonjoe
They are correct. You have to have the money in the bank for 2 months on the day you apply for the extension.
