BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand has extended the application period for the next central bank governor to July 10 to seek a wider range of candidates for a job to steer the economy through the coronavirus crisis, the selection committee said on Thursday.

The extension will be beneficial for the country, Rungson Sriworasat, chairman of the selection committee, told reporters.

Applications were originally opened from May 26 to June 16, and four candidates had applied so far, he said.

Clearly the size of the envelopes so far offered are deemed to be far to small.????

Somebody is pushing the deadline back in the hope of BIGGER envelopes being offered.

I guess Trillian would be the best choice.

Nobody wants a sure failure of a job with what's coming. It's gonna be very fugly. ????
