Whenever they say that it means the perp was an Islamic fanatic. If they don't want people to speculate, why not tell us the facts, instead of attempting a cover-up.

  • Maybe if they told these 'asylum seekers' in France that our hotels that they are provided with don't have haute cuisine and our broadband isn't super fast, perhaps they would look elsewhere for freeb

Is being mentally ill a prerequesite for applying for asylum?

Was his first name Christian?

Given their recent performance, it could easily be Neil.

Im sure the snowflakes on this forum are getting ready to protest at the shooting of an asylum seeker.  Unchecked uncontrolled immigration, the left want it, this is what happens.

no it's the side-effect of having to live in a country of disbelievers, therefore they won't be held responsible for their crimes, being mentally ill.. how convenient

14 hours and 156 posts down and no sign of your fantasy post so far, but keep waiting - it'll be along any minute, I am sure.

It could also be a side effect of having grown up in a war torn country that has been used and abused for centuries by the west.

So another asylum seeking Muslim has gone on the rampage with a knife, and the Muslim justice minister Humza Yousef accuses those with concerns about this trend as having a 'far right agenda'. No real surprise there.

He was referring specifically to Pavlov's racist, Farage, who popped up predictably and depressingly. Thankfully he seems to have gotten short shrift from much of Scotland, just like he did when he last tried to visit our country.

Sudan and Libya have had a fair amount of abuse from their own people, so you can't just blame the west.

And anyway, whatever the reasons do you really think it's sensible to allow angry, violent UK haters like the Reading killer stay in our country? I don't think it's worth the risk.

You have just identified the problem - you seem to think that TV is an accurate reflection on real life. Thankfully it isn't and you are not reflective of the majority. If you were, the Nasty Party would have gotten more than 42% at the last election and UKIP and the Brexit party would not be the figures of ridicule that they quite rightly are.

I dont just go by T.V just look in the comments section in most newspapers except the Guardian ,oh sorry is that what you read????

Hadn't the 'Reading killer' already converted to Christianity? I recall reading that somewhere early on. Maybe a lie fomented by the liberal do-gooders.

My take away from all this is that mental illness is truly multi-denominational.

Lie by his brother, they are not mentally ill they are Muslims. You do have to feel for the so called asylum seekers though in Glasgow, shared bathroom in a 3 star hotel, free food, free health care and wi fi, It's a disgrace they should be given detached houses, cars and call girls. Things must have been so much better in Sudan ????

"Home Office facing legal challenge over asylum support rates during lockdown as current conditions create ‘support gap’ for people surviving on £37 a week"

Four asylum seekers have together threatened the Home Office with a legal challenge over support rates during the lockdown, with their lawyers arguing that failure to increase their support during this time constitutes a breach of human rights law.

Unbelieveable the ungrateful xxxxxx how much is job seekers these days? With everythng free I could easily live on 37 quid a week and the holy lot are not supposed to drink of course. Maybe they want more so they can send it back home. You still see people claiming asylum seekers do not get any cash handouts, the only handout they should get is a ticket back to where they come from. The human rights law being invoked as usual, needs ditching ASAP.

A Yemeni bloke in the same building was interviewed on Sky whinging about the various hardships re mealtimes as per a timetable rather than as or when they feel like it.

Unbelievable! ????

Three meals a day at set times?  I should seek asylum in my own country.

If I'm feeling peckish between breakfast and lunch then a bag of crisps and a KitKat usually does the trick.  Never felt the need for a bloody knife rampage, personally.

Should turn the boats around and tow them back to France, who are happy to see the back of them.

The latest I hear from my brother in Glasgow is that nobody has died though approx 6 are in hospital in a serious condition.

The PC who was stabbed is now stable and no longer critical.

The assailant who died was a Somali from Sudan who had spent a long time in custody and who had just been told he was to be deported.

He apparently flipped and went berserk, (Speculation) he may have been trying to get himself killed rather than go back to Sudan.

13 hours ago, NanLaew said:

No. He was simply a hungry and angry Sudanese refugee with a questionable but now forever unknown mental status.

The misinformation surrounding this major incident is quite startling. Both Sky and BBC were quick to publish totally unsubstantiated facts that have been shown as totally incorrect.

The Reuters article linked in the OP suggests three fatalities including the knifeman. Only @cyril sneer and @brommers have noted this. Thanks.

Earlier 'breaking news' suggested that he went berserk after being advised that his refugee application had been denied and the police had arrived to deport him.

Very early in the piece, the Deputy Chief Constable made the public announcement that this wasn't a terrorist act. Subsequently, there's been no evidence suggesting any links to IS or his religion (most educated people will already have sussed out that being from Sudan, he would have been Muslim anyway).

I am speculating, there is a substantial christian minority in Sudan which is subject to discrimination. Did he come from them ?

I just wet to BBC news homepage.

It's very interesting that this story is nowhere to be found on the homepage, it's buried away in Scottish news. The only thing that seems to interest BBC editors is a surge in C19 cases in the US Sunbelt.

I guess who cares about your own citizens getting stabbed in broad daylight and a policeman being critically injured when you can whine on about something in the US!

I'm a full fledged Anglophile, grew up as a kid listening to the BBC World Service on shortwave in my bedroom. Saddens me to see what has become of something once wonderful, that probably helped make me the man I became

If you want news then you go to the news homepage, not the BBC homepage which is just a gateway to the whole site. The guy was complaining about not having the Glasgow stabbings on the homepage and it is on the homepage if you scroll down to news section. Complete non story just to whinge and whine!
