Samaritans Thailand

Featured Replies

Has anyone checked out the Samaritans Thailand . I do not suffer from depression but after clicking on the banner at the top of the TV homepage by mistake so many times I thought I'd check their website. It is mostly in Thai with headings in English saying "Talk to the Dead". If someone is depressed I can't see how this can help. The Facebook link is in Thai. If you are feeling low there doesn't seem much help there.

what's the problem then if not depression? I can understand people living here who want to kill themseves, seems very reasonable

Have you looked at the website. Why "Talk to the dead?

Do you understand what they mean by "Talk to the dead"?

Did you watch some of the videos?

I agree that it's really for Thais,  don't understand why they put it on TV

No didn't go so far as to watch. Was interested in what they did but the heading made me say don't bother. I just thought if someone needed help and opened the website and saw that it wouldn't be too encouraging for them.

The videos are meant to be encouraging,  or maybe discouraging people from committing suicide.

They are very Thai.

Maybe they really work for Thais.
