Ron Perlman has said he is still down to reprise his role as Hellboy to complete a trilogy - make it happen, Hollywood.

Perlman first played Big Red all the way back in 2004 and then again in the 2008 sequel Hellboy II: The Golden Army, now the actor says he would be keen to round out a trilogy if director Guillermo del Toro is up for it.

Speaking to comicbook.com he said: "There's always a little ember, that lives deep within me, that says maybe one day Guillermo will wake up and go, 'You know what? F***, we need to finish this trilogy'."

However, before you get too excited, Perlman went on to say that he doesn't think it's very likely to happen. Ah, he builds us up just to knock us down.

Too late.  They already made a 3rd installment without him.  He declined because they didn't hire his director.

It blew chunks.

I suspect they'll have a hard time rising above the stench if they offer up another.

Yeah I was confused as I thought they'd already done a 3rd one. I remember watching about 10 minutes of it and then changing to the "watching paint dry" channel as the acting was better.
It's like some types of paint and certain shades of it really put some effort into drying faster than others ! Truly into their performance !

I found both of Perlman's Hellboy movies entertaining and would look forward to a third. I thought he portrayed the character quite well.

While I would welcome a third installment directed by del Toro, Perlman is already 70.

I don't think he's got the energy to do another action movie, especially involving 3 hours of make-up and then sweating under pounds of prosthetics.
