China definitely does not want a war with the West, and is only behaving like it is because it knows the West will not start one.

If Sun Tzu was advising the West, he would tell it that this was precisely the time to attack.

1) The onkly thing what could work, is a complete boycott of Chinese goods in the West. But these are all capitalists. Lenin already sead: "the capitalist will even se4ll us the rope we will hang him with ".

2) What I do not understand: LOTS of protests all over the Capitalist World about misconduct, misbehaviour of government(al bodies) or privates, but NEVER over a "socialist" or muslim state. Any protests heard about the Chinese behaviour in Tibet since 1950, or nowadays against Ujgurs ? About semi-slavery in the Gulf or Saudi-Arabia ? Human house-hold ladies dumped as trash ?

Not a violation, they just tore the treaty up, the CCP cannot be trusted

  • Come on Boris. Time to man up and give those eligible BN(O) passport holders full residency and work rights in the UK.

Take the time to actually understand the issue and then it won't seem like a conspiracy.   There was a treaty between UK and China. It is supposed to go until 2047. China has broken the trea

Thanks, yes, you bring up good points.

Saudis are happily running a genocide in Yemen with the massive help of the US, China exposing millions of Uighurs in their concentration camps to torture, Saudis infiltrating Twitter to get to the IDs of critical Saudi citizens and arresting them, silencing them, and much more like that, that all seems to be not worthy much attention.

I hope that at least the people of Hong Kong will get some help. God have mercy with the ones arrested already in the last days, whose crimes where to sing songs and show flags demanding freedom.

Yes. Sadly there are a few members on here too who are only hypersensitive to what goes on in the West, but they sadly ignore (some even celebrate) the atrocious actions of the CCP.

Some people have allowed themselves to be so polarized that they really think Western imperialism is worse than Chinese. They're ignoring decency and human rights for some. The bigotry of low expectations, I guess.

And we know thats exactly what China will do, ban the BNO holders passage to the UK.

China, we shouldn’t be surprised, is speaking out of its ars3.

All Macau residents born before their handover have full Portuguese citizenship. Unless China wants make HK a prison (not out of the realms of possibility) there is nothing the can do to stop people leaving.

China has been active in the last decade, effectively annexing the South China sea from it's SE  Asian neighbours, putting Uyghirs in concentration camps and sterilizing them, trying to get Taiwan removed as a member of global organisations and trying to gain control of the natural resources of Africa. Just a short list, many others .....

Words will achieve nothing. Time to start introducing massive boycotts - no more visas for mainland Chinese, ban them from owning land and property in the west, and massive tariffs on all chinese goods. Send then back to the 1960's. It will affect everyone's pockets, but principles come with a price.

They would have to ban them from travelling anywhere outside HK (apart from PRC, of course), I think - most likely through requiring them to apply for exit visas which would prove all but impossible to obtain in practice.
