Any public waterfalls or hot springs within 60 km from the Chiang Mai city center (moat)?

yes, we've been to Wachirathan Waterfall which is 79km from CM   

 

besides the Falls themselves, there's of course decent lunch meal cafes; but the hidden wonder is:

 - this at first unassuming climbing path up the Left of the falls

 - which leads thru interesting mini rock faced chasms, and ends up on this huge cracked 'boulder'... complete with a small shrine - and to go further you'll meet bush monks on walkabout
