Well Mr Plakraphong, my NonO visa expires end of Sept and I was always told I could not extend it until 5 weeks before the date of expiry? How do you explain that then? Can I go this month like you say to extend until Sept 2021? What does your non o have to dodo with amnesty? Oh right, nothing at all.

I dont see how the authorities are going to think nobody can get home. Like they said in the article , in a rare case where you can prove you have no way to return to your home country then a letter from your embassy may suffice. I am on google flights researching the options , plenty of flights available. I do believe those who are sufficiently determined can travel to their home countries in most cases. However, be careful. Many airlines are advertising flights they have no intention of running, simply as a way of boosting their cash flow (fraud, but hard to counter). I suggest checking whether the airline you intend booking has actually flown any flights from Bangkok, and your connecting airport, in the last couple of weeks.

Popular Post pubba
This is a worrying situation. I’m married to a local and we have a 7 year old daughter here. I’ve been living here full time since 2017 but setup a small business in Vietnam and was travelling back and forth and just doing the landing visa plus 60 day extension each time I came back to a Thailand. I was planning to be back in Vietnam this year but then COVID-19 became an issue. My landing visa has already been extended 60 days and then I’ve been under the amnesty till now. If I go back to Australia I’ll need to pay for 2 weeks compulsory quarantine. I’d lose my main source of income and I don’t have anywhere to stay there. I haven’t lived in Australia since 2011 and have no desire to go back. I consider Thailand to be my home and we have a house, car, friends etc here. It would cost me thousands in costs and lost income to go back to Australia. Then there’s the very real likelihood that I wouldn’t be able to return to Thailand for a very long time... I’d gladly pay a fee for a 30, 60 or even 90 day extension done at the local IO. I’ll jump through any hoops they set up, whether it’s an app or monthly reporting or whatever.. Surely we’ll get something official soon, right? I was hoping we’d have an announcement by now. I guess there’s always Istanbul, but I guess rental prices will be through the roof if thousands of other expats have the same thought..

Best I can suggest is working out suitable flight numbers, and entering them at https://www.flightradar24.com/data It only gives you the last seven days for free, though. If you check flight QR837, you get indications that Qatar Airways is regularly flying as scheduled. If you try flight 7C2204, you will likely conclude that Jeju Air is best avoided.

Yes, but they will be based on country from which you are traveling and not passport. Certainly Taiwan and Thailand would end with a bubble at some point. Currently, all of Taiwan's special permits are for people traveling from low(Thailand is in this group) or medium risk countries. Unfortunately, I am not a corporate businessman with contracts in Taiwan or I would be there now or on en route soon. As a private individual who wants to incorporate to run a personal business, I cannot currently get the permit. If the bubbles went up, for sure I could get to Taiwan. Popular Post Alittleguy
They are allowing foreigners entering Thailand to join their Thai wife/children and now they are kicking us out of Thailand? Totally senseless. At least they allow foreigners with non-o marriage visa to stay on in Thailand. And people who are currently inside Thailand are free of covid. Why chase people who are covid-free out and risk bringing in infected foreigners? Other countries are more considerate, sorry to say. One example, Japan has generously extending amnesty for another three months to stranded tourists. I really hope the highest authority of Thai government will be more merciful and allow us to stay at the time being since the land borders are still closing. We are not taking advantage, but at this period. We leave Thailand and may not able to re-enter. That's our worry as we live here.
