Johnnie Walker whiskey will be available in paper bottles starting next year. The "100% plastic free" bottles will be made using sustainably-sourced wood, according to producer Diageo, which also manufactures Guinness. Diageo has partnered with venture management firm Pilot Lite on the Johnnie Walker project. The two companies also created a business called Pulpex Limited to work on future paper bottle development. And glass bottles don't work because.........? What happened to the old days when we paid a deposit on glass bottles and got the deposit back when we returned the empty bottles?

That sure looks like a plastic lid on top. Step in the wrong direction to use plastic where none was used before.

Small but important point: Johnnie Walker is a Scottish whisky. Whereas the spelling whiskey is used for other countries grain spirits notably the USA which produces bourbon (corn), rye, barley etc whiskey.

Not sure what this topic has to do with Thailand especially as Thai whiskey is generally distilled from sugar and should be classified as a rum.

Johnnie Walker whiskey

In fact, Johnnie Walker is from Scotland and as said above it is whisky not whiskey.  Please get things right before showing your poor knowledge of the English language especially when related to alcoholic beverages.  For everybody's information, the rule of thumb is that any country that produced whisky/whiskey  that has an E in the name, then it is whiskey, but any country without an E the name is whisky.

'nuf sed.

I'll be sticking with glass... The Angels already take enough of their share... I expect the Angel's share in those paper bottles to be substantial...
