fistwood
Hi, I am looking for a good psychiatrist or therapist to treat insomnia. This is the first time I got insomnia, and I am scared to be prescribed by sleeping pill because I am afraid i will be dependent. PS: my location is Bangkok Edited July 15, 2020 by fistwood
ukrules
I would suggest doing some google searches for commonly available over the counter antihistamines and their side effects.
Sambotte
A very good soft massage (foot particularely), if you can find a very good masseuse (rare nowaday) at home, works pretty well too. May not be enough but can only help if good (opposite if bad)... I have insomnia too, sometimes. I may try the medicinal extract although i doubt it's good enough. Or wait to go in a more relaxed country with better quality. A shame, Thailand 40 years ago had an amazing quality plant. Odisan
May or may not work for you, but rather a long-term thing is to try meditation. Has really helped me. Best of luck.
mark5335
This hospital in Bangna might be of help. They are a well regarded psychiatric facility. https://www.manarom.com/sleepclinic_eng.html

Sheryl
You don't need a psychiatrist but rather a psychologist/therapist. Some good western ones in Bangkok, see this list https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/90910-mental-health-resource-list/ PSI or Bangkok Counselling would be the places I'd suggest. http://www.psiadmin.com/psis-professionals/ https://www.bangkokcounsellingservice.com/our-therapists/don-knox-reg-mbacp/
