BANGKOK, July 21 (TNA) – A Pomeranian pet of a quarantined returnee from Germany was tested for the coronavirus disease 2019 to comply with a normal animal disease control process, according to the Livestock Development Department.

Sorawit Thanito, director-general of the department, said his officials together with officials of the Disease Control Department collected samples for COVID-19 tests from the two-year-old pet dog that arrived with its owner on July 18. The tests on the pet complied with measures of the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), he said.

Where I live I have noticed a reduction in the amount of roaming dogs , I think they have be rounded up or because of the work situation maybe they have become food, either way it’s more pleasant

Yea, people are getting poor/broke, Maybe they've started Back on a Dog meat Diet like years ago.

Ha, they didn´t search the returnee for possible fleas or bedbugs (or did they ?), and do a Covid test on them.

Can bedbugs have Covid ? I mean, do we really know that for certain yet ? ????

When asked to comment on the test procedure the dog said "Ruff"

Yep ,that's for sure.  ????

Good thing it's a small doggie. Try getting a nasal swab from a dobermann.

As if Thailand needs to import more dogs!  The place is teeming with them.  I'd love a resurgence in dog-eating, there's a couple of hundred within earshot of my house.
