Wheelchair-bound man goes on second adventure to raise funds

Unfazed by his disability, 57-year-old Satit Chantarangsi has taken on the challenge of making his way from Sukhothai to Songkhla province on his wheelchair to raise funds for medical equipment for Songkhla Hospital.

Satit started his journey on Saturday (June 18), and his itinerary has him heading south from Sukhothai to Phitsanulok and then onwards to Nakhon Sawan, Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Ayutthaya, Suphan Buri, Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, and Nakhon Si Thammarat, before arriving in Songkhla’s Hat Yai district.

He believes it will take him almost two months to complete the journey.

This is the second time that Satit has gone on a long adventure to help hospitals. Last year, he travelled from Chiang Mai to Songkhla to raise funds for three hospitals.

Satit said he will travel 20 to 30 kilometres a day and will make overnight stops.

He said he has already collected a great deal of donations, as people have been kind enough to hand him cash.

Donations can also be made via his Krungthai savings account number 989-8-49173-6.

Go Satit go, what you are doing is showing people that the disabled do have a place, have a life.

Wish i had your guts to try something like that..... Respect.

well done to this gentleman.
Some should model him, instead of whining about their plight.

You have to give this guy an A plus

Tackling all those crazies on the road with only a wheel chair.

Good luck mate, I doubt my gonads are large enough to try it

Is this the guy who done something before basically sitting on a axle with two wheels on it ?
If so it was sad that people didn’t donate to him as much as they did to toon when he was running . Although he still raised a bit but I don’t think the government or any high up type gave him anything of note compared to their donations to toon.

Hopefully this time he will fare better and get through it safely as the roads here are insane as everyone knows !
