Popular Post Wiggy
I read in another source that can’t be named here that it was due to “new witnesses” coming forward. You really couldn’t make this up. One of them said he estimated the speed of the Ferrari at 76.175 km/h. Wow, how convenient that is as the speed limit is 80km/h. Also that the police officer swerved in front of the car. Never heard of this in the three years since it happened. Absolutely unbelievable. Complete and utter farce. Oh great, first the OAG pannel and now the Thai police as well. Or is that the same thing? Anyway, it doesn’t matter, because apparently not everyone has been paid off yet and even more people are now rubbing their hands together in expectation of receiving a big fat brown envelope. 3

Apparently now driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, hit and run, coercing someone into lying to the police and going on the run are no longer crimes. Crimes after the fact are cancelled if you can get two witnesses to come out 8 years later and state you did nothing wrong in the first place. Courts don’t even need to hear from these witnesses. Clearly there’s no case. Most innocent billionaires would use their wealth to hire the best lawyers money could buy to prove their innocence. Not this guy. He thought he’d go the criminal route and wait it out for 8 years ‘til there was only one charge left. Now that’s dedication. 3

JusticeGB
The two new witnesses said the cop veered right in front of his car. Curious why the motorbike is stuck vertically into the bumpers of the Ferrari! Surely some mistake by someone.

Mak25
I thought it was clear, the police are dropping the charges because the litigation office dropped them and it would be negligence to continue charging him. Will it be the same policemen investigating this who also dropped the charge initially?

Were have these witnesses been since 2012 and why didn't they come forward before? The prosecutors can say, that based on the new evidence, boss wasn't speeding, and the deceased swerved in front of him, giving him no chance to avoid the deceased. So based on that, there is little chance of a conviction. The other charges have expired. So, as they say in the movies, he's free to go. Cyber sleuths will go after them mercilessly to see if this even tallies. Also interesting that the possible speed ranges from 177kmph to 77.16kmph both undertaken by allegedly specialists....

newnative
This is just all so sadly predictable. Why don't they look into why he wasn't brought back to face the charges while they are at it. Or why he was allowed to leave the country in the first place. Or, why the case has dragged out so long that most of the charges time expired. Lots to probe but like all probes, nothing will come of it.

Anant72
The two witnesses are probably bogus. First, where were they all this time et why do they show up now? How come nobody else saw that the cop swerved suddenly in front of the car and what about the speed discrepancy : from 170 to 70km/h? They are really taking the Thai people for morons!
