MELBOURNE (Reuters) - The Australian Open, the country's oldest and most prestigious golf event, has been postponed from its scheduled staging in November due to COVID-19, organisers said on Tuesday.

Agricultural sector needs to 'focus on higher standards, safety'

The government should establish standards for good agricultural practices (GAP) in order to enhance exports of agricultural products and ensure food safety, the Thai Agricultural Innovation Trade Association (TAITA) has suggested.

OAG panel meets to probe prosecutors’ handling of Red Bull heir’s case

The seven-member fact-finding panel, of Thailand’s Office of the Attorney-General (OAG), held its first meeting today to discuss their work related to the controversial decision, by public prosecutors, not to prosecute Red Bull heir Vorayuth “Boss” Yoovidhya over a fatal hit-and-run incident in Bangkok in 2012.

MOTS says All Arriving Foreigners must be Quarantined

Blacktip reef sharks seen frolicking off Koh Samui beach

As many as 10 blacktip reef sharks were spotted just off the beach in Koh Samui on Tuesday (July 28), and the occurrence was shared on the Starving Travelers Facebook page with the caption “abundance of Koh Samui island”.

Bangkok restaurant refusal to serve foreigners goes viral – VIDEO

The Fullmoon Terrace and Bar, in Lat Phrao in the north east suburbs of Bangkok, is refusing to serve foreigners. It’s not a good look, especially when there have been no locally-transmitted cases of Covid-19 for over 2 months and the man was wearing a mask and being quite pleasant about the whole matter. The Thaiger wouldn’t have been as polite.

Taiwan probes possible first local virus case in one month as imported cases rise
