Non-b Visa Change To Be Non-ed Visa

Dear all friends,

I am a Chinese natives from Beijing and currently holding a Non-B visa and work permit work in Bangkok. But few days ago, i have been informed that i will not continue my contract. I plan to find a school or university to support my staying in Bangkok. My question is if I register the school or university, and they offer all the document for me (for Non-ED),what should I do next, Do I have to go back to China or I can do all the changing process in Bangkok. How long will take? how difficut it is?

By the way: I used to use Non-ED in Thailand for 5 years, and my company helped me change the Non-ED to Non-B, so now i stop the contract, i plan to change back to Non-ED for staying)

i m from Taiwan. thinking to study Thai in Bkk.

I asked the school, once you got the letter from the school,

you will have to leave Thailand to another country and apply ED visa.

But i asked immigration they said i can change my tourist visa to ED visa in immigration without leave the country.

But all the schools said "impossible"
