Xiaomi MIUI 12

Featured Replies

MIUI 12 update for my MI9T arrived today (July 29, 20)  About 20 minutes total to download and update.  Going to watch a few YT videos about MIUI 12 before messing with it.

OP I would be interested to hear what you think.

I have the Note 8 Global and it is supposedly due the update to 12 in August sometime. I have rooted mine but waiting for 12 before deciding whether to go to a custom rom.

Do you normally debloat or just run stock?

I run stock though it does have some annoying quirks.  I tried rooting and loading a custom ROM on a previous Xiaomi phone and bricked it in the process. Some people are not meant to do complicated tech procedures.  I am one.

12 has some cool animations and a new pull down menu I'm not sure I like. The floating windows feature looks cool but I doubt I'll ever use it.

Xiaomi is pronounced like the first part of 'shower' and 'me' . apparently

i also believe xi / chi should be with rising tone as if asking a question,

similar in rise to the thai luuh ? / really ?

Chinese get rid of it, unfortunately I bought a Xiaomi as well, giving it away and buying a Samsung

Excellent move, I'm extremely happy with my Samsung Note 9.
