A lot of individual sellers are offering alcoholic beverages through Facebook. Claiming that the drinks are imported from Singapore, they offer very lucrative prices. 

Is this legal to buy from them? Also, any idea if the products are generally good (genuine)?

No it isn't legal even though the big online supermarkets seem to get around it. I think there are new laws in the pipeline to crack down on that too.

 

It doesn't make any difference to the tax whether alcohol comes from Singapore or anywhere else unless it is bottled in Thailand. If it's an anonymous seller on facebook there is a high chance they are selling counterfeit booze.

Actually what I said above is not quite true. If alcohol is bottled in an ASEAN country the import duty is lower but the excise tax is the same. The new excise tax system based on retail price took the edge off that advantage,
