SS1
Hi, A person currently has a valid Non-B visa and work permit from a regular Thai LTD. The person has a new job offer from a BOI company, but his visa is expiring soon. In order for the BOI One Step Service to allow one to transfer a work permit, the person must have a minimum of 21 days left on his visa. Due to the tight schedule, time might run out so that the visa will have less than 21 days left making it impossible to extend with the BOI. In such case, is it possible to obtain a 7-day extension (or similar) from Chaengwattana on the basis of a new job offer? TIA.
ubonjoe
A work permit cannot be transferred. The existing one has to be canceled and new one issued. The only extension immigration can issue is 7 days to leave the country.
