The opposition today submitted a motion to amend the Constitution to House Speaker Chuan Leekpai.

Sompong Amornvivat, opposition head and Pheu Thai leader, said the current Constitution contains many flaws that need to be revised.

One focus is on revision of Section 256 to facilitate charter change.

Meanwhile, Democrat Party leader and Deputy Prime Minister Jurin Laksanawisit said his party supports charter change as a means to resolve ongoing political tension.

ok it's a start, one ready to jump to the other side 555

Didn't the theme join the Phalang Pathetic, sorry,  Phalang Pracharat coalition so they could work on a proper constitution? Yet did nothing... Not exactly worthy of their name, are they now?

More chance of Prawit tying up his own shoe laces !

As I recall from previous articles, Prayut's party was waiting for the Opposition to submit there changes at which time the government would submit their proposal. I had quick glimpse and it was one page in big letter stating.

NO CHANGE!

There is a little bit of a stir starting up in Thailand it seems. If it picks up steam then it could be that violent times will be coming back, as seems unlikely the current regime will offer change.

Can these well dressed ( not military ) politicians make a change for the better of Thailand and its people ?  Surely 1976 won't happen again my god.

Would give my left one to see Thanathorn get the place in order.

Der, here are a couple of bright spark, but have they spoken to their boss who thought he could railroad everyone with his charter ?

The PM knows his days are numbered, will he bend and then take it like a man, or will he fight on, me says he will fight tooth and nail until he is taken down......bye bye Mr who has got it all under control.

Agreed if the PM bends and takes it like a man, he truly cares about the people of his country...

We both know those in power seldom bend, hence the military is brought in, in most cases.

Are there numbers of military people that are rumbling inside and see a change is needed ?  Hmmm interesting.....
