A freelance photographer was admitted to hospital with several broken ribs after a woman on a motorcycle cut in front of him and his girlfriend at the Victory Monument in Bangkok on Monday.

The victim said that CCTV showed that after the other motorcyclist did that to him she then cut in front of a car too.

Sanook reported that the woman had been in touch with him on Wednesday to talk compensation.

The man who was not named, said that like many others he is just recovering from the economic devastation of the pandemic. Now this.

He has to return deposits from customers while he recovers and faces surgery for his injuries.

He called on people to drive better.

That will be heard

I will never get on one of those things in this country. In 10 years I have only done it twice, when a friend said it was the only way to get to another friend's house. Then I started walking or taking real cars. And in the states I owned at least 6 motorcycles over time.

Karma will catch up with her one day.

Looking at the picture it looks like his girlfriend is doing well landing excactly on top of him letting him break(his ribs) her fall ???????????? get well soon hope he fully recovers , those !@#$% idiots . And they want to change the tests for big bikes ???????????????? as i said before , they should fully change the whole system otherwise it's just a drop of water on a hot plate .

Riding in Thailand requires an overwhelming degree of attention, defensive riding and a massive ‘what if’ attitude....

i.e. what if the bike in front of me to my left suddenly decides to turn right without notice.

Never sit in anyones blind spot - either accelerate in front of them, or sit offset to the side of them.

One of the biggest annoyances I have as a motorcyclist here is someone sitting in my blindspot or sitting in my ‘exit path’....

Riding defensively is one thing, but when no one else around you does the risks are elevated, combine this with the lack of awareness to safe riding of those around you and risks are again elevated.

The other cars are safer than the other motorcyclists !

Should be: Double Economic Whammy: Photographer Recovering Financially due to COVID now in Hospital after Victory Monument Accident.

Is there a way for the 'webfact' news people to improve the headline?
