Chonburi Immigration website hacked

Featured Replies

In case you're having more problems than usual with the Chonburi Immigration, it may be because it is hacked. Go to http://www.immchonburi.go.th/main/?l=Eng and you will see "404 Not Found" when the pointer is not over the webpage, but when the pointer is over the webpage you will see the attached. Also, when the pointer is hovered over the website tab, it says "HACKED by TUAN B4DUT".

Ohh dear not again ????   lucky it didn't work very well in the first place, maybe this will encourage a rethink resulting in a  useful working site with up to date  accurate and concise  information :shock1:

There is nothing wrong with their website.

I can not either see any problem with their website...

glegolo

There is no problem with

http://www.immchonburi.go.th/main/index.php

But if you check ...

http://www.immchonburi.go.th/main/?l=Eng

... you can see that it has indeed been hacked.

I would NOT go there.  If you look at the source of that page you see a LOT of weird javascript. Probably enough to infect your own computer.

If you look closely you can just make out the words 'we lost your documents, do again and pay the fine'.

Actually, it is just a very clean page defacement. You can easily unescape the javascript code and see it is all directed towards the page display. There is no particular reason to visit the page, as there is no useful information, but it is not dangerous.

How did the hacker obtain the username and password of the website? It must be an inside job.

There are many ways websites can be hacked other than by knowledge of user names and passwords. Security vulnerabilities are found all the time.
