Air Asia flights Chiang Mai to Hua Hin

We flew this route last week (return). A great experience!  Only real difference to pre-COVID-19 was compulsory face masks, social distancing at airport, temperature check and no food or drink allowed to be consumed on aircraft. As the flight is c.1 hour this is not a problem.

The plane was nearly full on both journeys. 90% Thais. 

The route was initially introduced to operate until late October 2020. 

You can book on-line on the Air Asia web site for a flight in November but when I asked the Air Asia sales staff at Hua Hin airport they did not seem to know if the flight route schedule had been extended beyond the end of October. 

I tried the Air Asia web site but as any of you who have tried to contact Air Asia will know it is virtually impossible. You cannot get past their on-line robot AVA. 

Has anybody heard anything about this flight route schedule being extended beyond end of October 2020?

Yes, it is a great route with more flights coming into HH I bet.

Lets see when the hordes of Chinese return if they choose this over Pattaya.

It would be great for the Hua Hin economy.  ????  The beaches and restaurants are pretty good, but they need to add few more malls and some infrastructure improvements.   A larger entertainment area would bring in more 2 week millionaire single males.  Guess we will have to wait and see.
