Buri Ram police turn blind eye to repeated rape of mentally challenged teenager

Featured Replies

Well, another rape and another person getting away with the crime. Thailand is still

a third world country, and will be for the rest of my lifetime.  I hope this guy will

eventually get his come uppings.  Bad Karma, equals bad future, at least sometimes.

Geezer

  • He actually believes he will be able to adopt the child. Does he not realise what he has done. Beggars belief. Total scumbag!

  • This makes my blood boil - this shows all that's wrong with the pathetic so called Police and in this case, the Police need to be jailed along side the rapist

  • Sadly the aunt/ uncle can expect no help what so ever from the police. No photo ops, no money to be made out of a case like this, so they sit back, do nothing.

The country is not sick and perverted just because of one incident. If there is a record of a Police complaint, then there should definitely be an inquiry into the Police handling of the matter.

the alleged rapist his reported to have confessed, in a public arena, without lawyers present, thus, the Police must act and arrest him immediately now.

You need to read more. There are many cases reported on this site, usually involving young girls and their teachers, that are dismissed by the police and the school directors. Usually money is offered to the victim's family, and when that is refused in favour of seeking justice sometimes it makes the news. We never, ever read of the police prosecuting, only that the teacher moves to a new school to continue his depravity elsewhere.

You are very naïve if you think the police in Thailand act and behave as they do in civilised countries. In Thailand they are smart enough to realise that they get paid anyway so why work?

A shameful and sickening insight to a Modern Thailand.

A few shiny glass buildings does not make Thailand modern. Mentally and culturally in many ways it is medieval.
