The Ministry of Public Health is employing preventive measures against Covid-19 on the border areas of Tak province, as the outbreak in Myanmar is escalating and several Myanmar migrants have been caught trying to slip into Thailand via natural channels such as rivers, canals and mountains.

Chinese "tourist" robbed of 10 million baht by five armed men at luxury housing estate in Pattaya

City Hall opens hotlines for people to seek advice on COVID-19 infection

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has opened hot lines for people in Bangkok infected with COVID-19, or who are at risk of becoming infected, so they can seek consultations with experts, said Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang on Monday.

Taxi driver stabbed, causing a five-car pileup in Thon Buri area

A taxi driver was injured by a knife wielding assailant and lost control of his vehicle, which then crashed into several cars and a motorcycle, after an apparently mentally unstable man got into his taxi and started stabbing him with a knife and a sharpened iron rod.

Protesting Bangkokian finally brought down from atop a road sign

Government allocates 1-billion-baht budget to expedite COVID-19 vaccine development

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Government Spokesman, Anucha Burapachaisri, says relevant agencies are expediting production of vaccines to combat COVID-19, so that they are made available to the public quickly. A 1-billion-baht budget has also been allocated to the National Vaccine Institute (NVI).
