School finally takes responsibility for ‘punishing student to death’

The uncle of a schoolboy who died from being forced to do 100 squat jumps on Thursday (September 3) for failing to submit his homework said the school has finally contacted the family.

Pramot Eiamsuksai, the 13-year-old boy’s uncle, explained on Facebook that his nephew had first fallen ill on Monday (August 31) and was taken to hospital last Wednesday before returning to school on Thursday.

However, the boy’s teacher insisted on punishing him for failing to submit his homework despite being ill.

On Friday, the boy became ill again and was put to bed by his parents. However, he did not wake up the next morning.

Doctors believe he may have died in his sleep at around 3am, due to cardiac malfunction.

The school eventually contacted the family on Tuesday (September 8 ) to apologise and take responsibility for the tragedy.

Though the boy’s family is angry, they want this case to be an example for teachers who don’t think before punishing their students.

That teacher needs to be charged with anything and everything in the book that will stick.  Child Abuse, endanger the life of another human being,  manslaughter, murder.  Make an example of the SOB.  ???? The poor kid had enough to deal with without some bully teacher ending his life.  RIP young boy,  hopefully heaven is better than earth.  ????

I doubt anything will change, will teachers learn from it,maybe

but how long till the next kid will die while at school, where

they are supposed to be safe.

When I went to school there were some evil <deleted> teachers,

who seemed to take pleasure in dishing out corporal punishment,

while saying this is going to hurt me,more than you B/S

RIP young lad,you were not the first and will not be the last.

regards worgeordie

Do doctors not issue and schools accept medical certificates. Was the teacher aware of the boy's physical condition?

This is crazy. No excuse for the teacher!

I only hope he/she had no idea about this boy's health situation?

If so, he/she should be kicked out. And charged by the prosecutor.

But, where is mother and father in this drama?

RIP to the young boy, stripped of his future by an unthinking teacher. Will this profession ever learn, doubtful unless an example is made of this teachers actions as a lesson to teachers nationally. Abuse and pay the price.

Commiserations to the parents as well not what you expect at all.

You have to think there was an underlying condition that caused the cardiac arrest.

However, there has and always will be sadistic teachers

Can you clarify how the teacher punished the boy, as i cannot find that in the article (other source maybe?)?

He was made to do 100 squat jumps.  It's in the first sentence of the OP.

It's fair question, maybe it was not divulged to the teacher that the boy was suffering an illness.

However a letter from the parents to the teacher would not have gone amiss ether, explaining the situation about being absent due to sickness or the reason for no homework.

A catalogue  of errors which led to the death of this young fella.

That's terrible........ RIP young man.......

Tragedy , yes, but 13 year old boys do not generally die from a little exercise without serious other condition.

Missed that somehow, must have been temporary blind. Thanks.

Teachers like this should be outed either by parents or other teachers, shocking
