In these hot summer months in Thailand, a swim can serve as a welcomed relief from the searing temperatures. On Wednesday afternoon, Khun Tawat aged 43 and his 4 year old son decided to take a swim in a small lake near the Sriracha Lake View Village. Tragically, the father and son lost their lives in what was supposed to be an enjoyable swim in this lake. Police Lieutenant Colonel Reungsuk from Sriracha Police Station was called to the lake by the Wife and Mother of the victims; Khun Somkuan aged 42 who looked on helplessly as she lost sight of the two in the lake. The exact cause of the accident is unknown, however Police theorize that Khun Tawat saw his Son get into difficulties as he swam and during the rescue, both lost their lives. Post Mortem examinations of both Father and Son are already underway to determine if either suffered from a medical problem which contributed to their deaths.
