Hello, what is the fastest way to go to KOH LIPE now ? Which airline still fly close ?

thank you.

It's open...been there and it's beautiful! I drove... not trusting Air Asia... it's a long way from Pattaya...over 1000 klics...but the roads are great! I had no issue or car problems! Have a nice trip...!

But if you drive there, where do you park your car at the pier ?

Yes you can park at the port.

I would check with a travel agent in Pak Bara - the port in Satun. The boats don’t usually run this late in the season, it’s pretty dull down here at the moment, it seems to threaten rain from lunchtime and for sure at 4.00 pm the heavens open.

Airasia used to do a shuttle service from Hat Yai airport but they aren’t running at the moment. You can get a public minivan from the bus station or you could hire a some kind of taxi to take you to the pier, it’s about 1hr 45 mins.

It's 736 km between Koh Lipe and Pattaya.

I went there - BEFORE Covid. Had a flight to KRABI, then Mini Van to Koh Lanta, stayed there (nice) then Ferry to Koh Lipe .... about 3 hours? It;s a nice/small Island - nice - after the stay, took a Ferry to Pak Bara and Mini Van to Hat Yai - flight back to BKK.

There are Ferry Timetables /phone numbers available on the internet as well as current Flight connections and - travel restrictions?

DON't spread the word too much - otherwise it becomes another Samui - (over crowded)

Wrong, it's more than 1000 kms.

736 is to Surathani.

Why people keep posting BS ?

I cannot stop laughing ! You people really are living in your dreams ! it must be great to know nothing and be happy with it !

I went to Koh lipe 10 years ago before they built any shop, but since, Koh lipe is packed with hordes of tourists, and of course over built.

10 years ago the islands was full of 500 thb wooden bungalows and there was no road AT ALL.

So funny that you can imagine that people don't know about this island, how ridiculous !

Good to know - hopefully you won't go there again - ONE (ignorant) person less there!

Even before COVID the boats stop running along the Andaman in April, the sea is too rough and in September, Lanta is like a ghost town.

There are currently no shuttle services running from Hat Yai airport.

Maybe as the eagle flies... Definitely not in kilometers travelled on the road.

Planning a trip to Satun / Koh Lipe for a wedding next Feb & was planning to fly to Hat Yai then get a bus.

For anybody who's interested, this site is good for planning trips https://www.rome2rio.com/map/Bangkok/Koh-Lipe

Hadn't realised a ferry from Trang was an option, I've never visited that part of Thailand so could combine it with a trip to a couple of places around there..
