The Disease Control Department said it is waiting for the results of 286 people who were exposed to a Buriram Utd footballer who tested positive for Covid-19 last Thursday. Tests were conducted on 441 individuals who came into contact with Uzbekistani footballer Akbar Ismatullaev.

So far, 155 results have come back – all negative.

Among those cleared of infection are 47 high-risk players and staff at Buriram Utd.

Meanwhile, another 286 people were exposed to the footballer in Buriram, 27 of whom were high-risk. They will remain in quarantine until September 24 and are awaiting results of tests.

Buriram played pre-season friendlies against Ratchaburi Mitr Phol and Khon Kaen United.

Forty-four exposed players and staff tested negative at Ratchaburi and 51 at Khon Kaen.

Of 13 low-risk passengers who were on the same flight as Ismatullaev, six have tested negative while the others are awaiting results.

The headline says Buriram club cleared....BUT less than half the

people who came in contact with the player that  had the tests,

have had the results back,

regards worgeordie

Why appear so negative.  Give the system time to get ALL the results back.

I was looking forward to watching the game on TV especially with the new signings. Just another ploy by the Thai FA to stop Buriram winning the championship again especially as they have manged to get rid of Tunez during the lockdown.
