NONTHABURI, Sept 14 — The Ministry of Public Health is building up favipiravir and other medical resources in the event of the second spread of the coronavirus disease 2019.

Dr Surachoke Tangwiwat, secretary-general of the Food and Drug Administration, said that the Ministry of Public Health had built up stocks of medicines and medical supplies since the COVID-19 pandemic had started in March.

So far, there are 43 million surgical masks which are enough for three months’ use.

But there wasn't even a first spread according to the "government" figures, just 58 deaths and no local transmission for 100 days, borders closed (tightly undone) only those returning from "dirty foreign" country's have been found "infected"

No danger of a mask shortage then, sounds familiar, I'm sure someone in government said something similar about 6 or 7 months ago, just weeks before the great mask shortage of 2020.

And how many of those are of the actual medical grade needed at the covid wards, instead of the flimsy paper flaps locals wear under their chin, if at all?

Safety first. Personal note: Fully stock the beer wall.

Any guesses as to how much more this would be for farang as opposed to thais ?

No need for an alert when you lay it on by the bucket full!
