And the lady I saw last time called me:

Oh, Velly big.

I think I am due a high government position.

I often mistype 'v' for 'b'.

The whole thing makes now sense.

Big is just used for the creme de la creme of RTP/Immigration.

Now, we average farangs all have something big:

Big mouth

Big belly

Big ....

Big car

Big house

Big money

Big nothing

Big showing off

Big nose

Big ass

They really must hate us.

Evely falang has something big.

Imagine the girls going back in the evening to their BIG whatever and telling him that she spend the day with falang, Big mouth with vely Big ....

They must get mental. We even don't wear a uniform.

He passed round  brown envelopes to give out confidential information on how to keep brown envelopes under the table and the shares due to the individuals within the Immigration Authority.

If only that would make any different to the confusions of so many visa types, but thees guys are not about to rock the boat and slay the golden goose...

You mentioned the confusion of the so many visa types in another thread. I, as well as few others, commented that the situation here is no different from most countries in the world. Seems you didn't get that on the previous thread, so let me elaborate. The is no such thing as 1 visa fit all. Nowhere in the world. There are short term tourist visas (or visa exempt for places you can go to without an advanced visa application), the are longer term visas by different categories and deferent conditions such as business, education, family visit - and more. Google your own country immigration department and see what they have there. I think that in your own country one must have a transit visa even just for a short stopover without leaving the airport or going through immigration.

Thailand is your home by choice, yet you keep complaining just about anything here

Thailand's incoming new police chief General Suwat Chaengyodsuk has reminded top brass at the Immigration Bureau about their responsibilities in keeping Thailand safe from foreign law breakers, reported Naew Na.

And he'll take care of all the Thai law breakers, I assume, the number of which is thousands of times greater than foreign law breakers. Assuming they aren't rich, of course. More racist nonsense, and he hasn't even begun the job yet.

Ah, I was wondering why a popular casino had closed down in Lardprao Road.

Apparently, most have been closed since last Friday.

Indeed - but I didn't profess to teach English, the irony just amused !

Stop all migrant labour (legal or otherwise) and deport all the known and 'protected' farang dodgy types in Pattaya and crime committed by foreigners would be virtually eradicated. There would, of course, be a resultant lack of scapegoats and loss of income in certain quarters

There was no irony, my sentence was grammatically correct.

I did go to the same school as Lord Byron.

When you get a Pat on the shoulder, it's a sign you should head back home.

Ken, you obviously don't know much about Thai names. Firstly, one never refers to oneself as 'Khun', it's a term of respect given by others! Secondly, Joke is Thai word for rice porridge.

So, you shall respect rice porridge.

And do not forget to help me fill my boots when filling the countries & your own

Top of the agenda was keeping the borders secure in the Covid-19 era and making sure that law breaking foreigners were not damaging Thailand or using it as a base to commit international crime.
