Thai MP allegedly caught looking at porn during "stressful" reading of budget bill

Thai media Daily News went to town on a male MP who a news photographer snapped in a still shot looking at porn on his smart phone in parliament yesterday evening. 

 

They said in their headline that he was getting some light relief from the stressful meeting.

 

It was the second reading of the fiscal 2021 budget and the subject of budgets connected to the PM's office had come up at 8.30 pm. 

 

Daily News said this was not the first time such a thing had happened; a male MP had been caught doing a similar thing during a constitutional amendment meeting back in June 2012. 

 

They said the picture caused much comment on social media about the inappropriateness of it all. 

 

Not surprisingly in defamation crazy Thailand, the man was not identified by Daily News who satisfied themselves by naming only the chairman of the session at the time the photo was taken.

Poor guy.

Kids are not allowed to play with their phone in class and rightly so.

Spending the peoples money is not so important i guess.

Tissues, but more importantly was there a jar of Vaseline at his desk as well....lol.

However, he will claim that he was deciding how much of the budget to spend on Porn

He's hoping his budget will cover it

I agree, who cares. Though if your getting paid to work you should not be doing this. Just like you should not be sleeping ect. Then again when I still worked for a boss I was not busy with work all the time either (no not watching porn in the office but some personal calls ect)

Gotta love the way they title this as "allegedly". There's no doubt of his guilt. He's not even wearing his face mask properly either. Can't they go after that too?

It's a Line conversation. You can almost make out the name of the person with whom he's communicating, right at the top.

 

Either it's a buddy sharing some of his personal collection, or a pic of the young lady herself talking to him, enticement to spend another "late night at the office", or make another bank transfer.

Privacy and confidentiality do not appear to be taken seriously in Thailand.

- The MP should not have allowed his phone to be spied upon in this fashion. If he is sloppy in his private pleasures, how does he treat secret government information?

- It is a violation of privacy to spy on people in this manner, no matter how noble cause.
