Any rumors about Non-Imm OA visa (or extension) holders?

Featured Replies

Any rumors out there about when these retirees might be welcome back?  (Including what the health insurance requirement might be?)

Nothing new about it.

The insurance would be the same $100,000 US coverage required for all certificate of entry applications at a embassy.

Thanks, Joe.  I'm actually in Thailand now and thinking in terms of a trip to the States and then back here when it's allowed.  I'm guessing if and when they do allow folks with OA-based extensions, I'll need to convert my current TB 400K cover (with Pacific Cross) to something over USD 100K.  I'm 69 now, so the new cover, which needs to be at least as long as my extension (i.e., not travel insurance), will no doubt be quite expensive.  Better start planning now....

Pacific Cross if offering the $100k (3.1 million baht) insurance now that qualifies for the OA visa as well.

you may find staying in country & paying an agent to extend your non o based on retirement will save you a LOT of money compared to going back unless of course you want to go back and stay a WHILE...

Cool.  I'll talk to the PC representative I dealt with before and get some info on the cost of converting what I have now.  Thanks again.
