Peter Denis
@ubonjoe I checked on the Immigration website for Visa Extension > https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?p=14714 #22 provides the requirements for a Visa Extension for reason of RETIREMENT I was surprised to see that the requirements do NOT match with what has been posted countless times on the Forum for such Retirement Extension. More specifically re the 800K funds-in-bank requirement > According to many Forum-posts you need to keep 800K for three months on your personal Thai bank-account, which you can then lower to 400K for 7 months and that you need to top up again to 800K in the two months preceding your next extension application. The Immigration website does NOT mention that intermediate 7 months 400K requirement any more. Has this been changed recently? Or is this an omission on the Immigration Website? Nothing new. It is not the first time that has happened. 1

So they updated the format/look of their website, but did not bother to bring the actual content in line with the current rules/regulations. Lol, only in Thailand! 1 1
