First non-O, need for 30 day report ?

Featured Replies

I switched from amnesty to non-o visa (3 months initially). do I have to do a 30 day report, it is not clear to me? until then, I was on amnesty with a tourist visa (exemption on arrival). And (2d part of my question): in 3 months, if I can extend my visa up to 1 year, will I have then to do the 30 day report (if I don't need to do it until then) ?. thanks

It's a 90 day address report.

90 days from the when you obtain your first annual extension you will need to do a 90 day report.

That needs to be done every 90 days unless you leave the country. The date you reenter Thailand the 90 day clock starts again.

Of course currently we cannot exit and re-enter

its every 90 days, not 3 months, when you obtain your first yearly extension it will count as a 90 day report, so following a non immigrant 'O' visa conversion 2,000thb, ( 90 day permission to stay stamp)  and then a yearly extension 1,900thb, the first 90 day report will be 90 days from being issued the extension, not the visa.

After 60 days into your 90 days non-O visa, you can apply for the 1 year extension. Cost ฿1900. But you must meet the financial requirements.

Oh. I thought these "financial requirements" applied only to the non-o retirement visa

12 month extension for retirement requires 800,000 in a Thai bank. Or 65,000 monthly income or a combination of both.

12 month extension for married to a Thai woman requires 400,000 in a Thai bank or 40,000 monthly income.

12 month extension based on being married to a Thai man requires no financial requirements.

sorry, I should have specified non-O volunteer visa

I have a 60-day extension due to expire on 25th November.

I have a ME non imm 'O' marriage visa due to expire for entries on 19th November.

I will be applying for the one-year extension based on having 400,000 in a Thai bank, deposited on 24th September from overseas.

When will I need to apply for the one-year, and will the money have been in the bank for the required two months (or is it 60 days - they are not the same)?

The written rules state 2 months on the day you apply.

Thanks. So if the money is deposited on 24th September (as it is today) I can apply on 24th November, which is one day before my 60-day extension ends. Close, but that's in line with what the helpful IO told me at Kalasin yesterday.

That is correct.
