I don’t expect a large number of responses to this poll as it is targeted to a very small percentage of the forum members but it may help future applicants.

It was widely published on this forum that changes were being implemented to target extensions to the supporting spouse visas (Non Imm ‘O’):- No new 400K Baht applicants (40K per month certified income required), grandfathered 400K renewals, 3 month prior deposit, monitored withdrawals, police visits, at least 3 x 30 day assessment periods being required etc. It has been some 6 months since the visa changes were advised and I’m wondering how you got on.

For me it was a cake walk, had my 400K grandfathered extension after only one 30 day assessment period but in saying that was told that it will be the last, next year I am supposed to show certified income of 40K per month. I will consider my options then but as I have to go to Aus at least once a year I’m leaning toward going back to the 12 + 3 month Non Imm ‘O’ rather than depositing 800K into some non interest bearing account here.
