How to activate New entry non o multiple in covid 19 situation?

Featured Replies

Will arrive soon with a non o multiple entry(marriage) for the first time, Q:How do i activate the 2,3,4 entry of the visa since most country around thailand is closed during covid 19..?

You do not want to leave and reenter the country several times. Each time you would need to go through getting the CoE and undergoing quarantine. Instead, you should apply for an extension of your permission to stay. The initial entry on the Non O visa gives you a 90-day permission to stay. You can add a 60-day extension to visit your spouse quite easily. To stay longer than that, you need to meet the conditions for a one-year extension of your permission to stay based on marriage. There are many threads that discuss that process.

Thanks, so its not possible to activate a new entry on exisiting visa at chaeng wattana(for a fee) due to the covid 19?

No.

As said, a 60 day extension is no problem.

After that extend for 12 months.

400,000 in a Thai bank or 40,000 monthly income.

Understand, will they ask for insurance for the 60 day/yearly extension? Will they grant a yearly extension with 4 month insurance left?(will renew before expire) will they accept?

They won't extend beyond period your insurance is valid. And, for extension they will require that it be fro ma Thai company i.e. can't use a foreign policy whereas you could for the initial visa

No insurance is required when you apply for an extension based upon marriage.

Is insurance now mandatory for those on a non-O PtS extension (for retirement)..?

He has a non-o visa. No insurance is needed for an extension.

The insurance you need has to cover $100,000 incl covid-19 for the whole period of stay. It's one of the requirements for the CoE.

Just to confirm, so even in this covid situation they do not require insurance for non o based on marriage extension 60 days/yearly?

Covid insurance is only required to enter the country. No extension application requires it.
