The new Superintendent of Rayong Police, Pol. Maj. Gen. Bhumira Wattanapani (ภูมิรา วัฒนปาณี), says he is ready to work for the general public and take care of their lives and properties. He says he is geared up to suppress the influential figures and gambling venues in the province.

After Pol. Maj. Gen. Bhumira had reported himself to Rayong Police, he says he will call a meeting with the local police chiefs to fine-tune their works.

Now where have I heard that song before?

Four years or so ago a new top cop was appointed in Pattaya. He vowed to clean the city up. Within a week the word on the street was that he had paid 10 million baht to get the job. Little if anything changed, except that the Ruskies got a big hold on the place.

I note that the 'mastermind' who engineered the murder of two Russian ladies on Jomtien beach has yet to be arrested. Were not heads going to roll unless the guy who put out the contract was put behind bars?

Basically he's just sending out a warning that more tea money is required.
