Regarding Irish citizens travelling to Thailand, I saw nothing special recently. If you post a link to what you read and indicate what part of it you are unsure about, somebody will be able to explain it to you.

Oh and buy lots of paper....you'll need it.

A friend of a friend paid £3k in total,that's about ฿120k, but you can pay less, if you are able to pick a cheaper ASQ-hotel.
