I've seen information and articles on TVF in past about people dumping trash and other rubbish in the ditch along a road. Today I witnessed it.  He was outside my  village on a Farm road. I yelled at the guy to stop and he yelled back at me.  I called the village security and they yelled at him, too.  He was outside the village property, so they could not take any direct action.  They told me they would call the police.  The dumper never stopped.

 

Does anyone know who or what agency is the best to call in this situation?  We've never had a problem along that road. Now that there is a pile, I fear others will start contributing. HELP!!

you could have taken picture of him dumping,his truck and report it

to the Police, but don't expect anything to happen,

Hey worgeordie. Thank you for your reply. The security guys took pictures. There is a 10 ft fence with wire topping between our village and the road (plus a ditch that almost acts like a moot). We took pictures, but I don't have a vehicle to drive around there and get close-ups.  It's just a guy standing in the back of his truck throwing the rubbish out.  I'm hoping someone 'here' on TVF knows there is actually someone to call and to report this terrible deed. (My pictures came out bad, too far)

Collect it up and deliver it to his house. ????

I wish. I don't have truck, don't know where he lives and would take all day to load it.  The truck was a six wheeler with 3 ft sideboards and it was full of old sheet rock and garbage bags.  Your not helpful.

Unfortunately it happens a lot,

take video and photos whilst telling him  it's going on Facebook...careful though he could get violent.

Also (before posting on facebook that's just a threat ,last resort) report it to your local police and the local council.

There have been reported cases af prosecution for such offenders though the punishment was very lame.

I was joking I wouldn't get involved of I  were you he may dump a load outside your house, let the locals deal with it.

Did these include clear images of the licence plate number of the offending dumpster?
