Visa O-A Long stay

Featured Replies

I have a visa O-A long stay for 1 year. I want to ask if I can enter to Thailand these days

Yes you can but you will need to go into quarantine. You will need insurance cover and a certificate of entry from the Thai Embassy.

If your visa is still valid you should be able to apply for a certificate of entry at a embassy.

Depending on airline ticket and choice of ASQ-hotel + fees for covid-19 test and a fit-to-fly certificate, insurances etc etc, you will probably have to pay ~฿100,000. More if you go for a better than average ASQ- hotel.

Just to clarify Ubonjoe, an O-A valid extension of stay with a re entry is ok?

Note I wrote should.

It will depend upon the embassy or official Thai consulate your apply at. Some only show new visas on their websites and others mention a valid OA visa but are not clear if a re-entry permit for the 2nd year of it will be accepted.

It only way to know with any certainty is to contact the embassy or consulate where you will applying for the certificate of entry.

With dependants in Thailand you are more likely to get priority. A legal wife or being a registered father of a child puts you in that category.
