Democracy demands in Thailand but no mentioning in TV

I know the great majority of thais, brought up in a buddhist serve the master and be happy with what little you have maybe better in next life spirit, is against any protests against the ruling authoritarian governement because it can disturb the "happiness" of the people and may provoke Prayuth to resume his weekly singing.

But this is mainly a generation thing. The younger generation clearly show they want something else, they are not afraid of showing it in spite of severe consequensces, and it´s likely  to spread. And the authoritarian governement is <deleted> scared and use convenient corona regulations (the best friend of authoritharians) to stop them.

These courageous acts have been reported and analysed big time in major newsmedia all over the world, CNN and BBC and other major networks. This is world news.

And yet. Not a single mentioning in TV about this. And no commenting. I haven´t made a thorough search, just the recent main flow in Thailand News, maybe I have missed something. But still.

It makes me curious.
I know TV has to follow authoritharien rules about critizising governement and monarchy. Is that it?
Is it self censorship or clearly in the red zone?
Or is it just lack of interest? I can understand that. Most people here are in it for the girls and the beer. But I have seen old threads discussing thai politics, especially around the time of the latest military coup.
Has the cencorship rules tighthend lately? Or maybe I´m just paranoid. Just asking.

Pretty much, there is some coverage in the News forums, but limited to what is published in the local media.

Thaivisa obviously must protect itself and its members from any legal ramifications so we have to limit what is posted. As you note there is plenty of coverage on external sites.

and I'm afraid I have to close this thread too.
