Health Insurance

Is there any news on obtaining mandatory health insurance? Will traveling from United States! Thank you.

If you're on an O-A Visa you'll need  the mandatory health insurance. No news there. Plus a ฿100,000 covid-19 insurance unless your health insurance includes the Covid-19 insurance.

What about a Non O multi in this same situation?

It depends upon the visa you are apply what how much insurance your need. To apply for a certificate of entry you need covid 19 insurance for the length of you allowed stay.

Info here on the Thai embassy website in Washington DC. https://thaiembdc.org/visas/

You need covid 19 insurance to cover your first 90 day entry and etc.

For the US see the above link I posted.

The SafetyWing travel-insurance policy < https://safetywing.com/nomad-insurance > includes covid-19 coverage as part of their 250.000 US $ accident/illness coverage.  When under 70 years of age and US citizen, that policy will even be cheaper than the covid-19 ONLY policies offered by Thai insurers.
